He waited till it rained.
It was a routine for her to gaze at stars till falling
asleep. Twinkling stars always inspired her to dream. But, that day felt
different. The sky was full of dark thundering clouds, just like they are
waiting for some announcement to be made. She stood up to close the windows
when few knocks on the door caught her attention. Wondering who could it be at
this late hour, she opened it.
Beers and pizza boxes in one hand and balloons
in another, he was here. Happy birthday he said, with a wink and hug. Little did
she know, someday someone would remind her, her own birthday. The Petrichor
pulled them towards the window. It was melodious without music, fragrant
without scent.
'I can smell the coffee ', she said and turned around to see
him standing with two coffee mugs. 'Sorry, I didn't realize, I kept dwelling so
long.‘She said. He replied with a smile. They continued staring at the
pleasant weather while holding hands.
For the first time, they experienced
telepathy. She felt complete like never before. Thundering didn't scare her;
rather she loved the sound of it. And on the other side even though thundering
scared him, He was confident of his thoughts; he knew what to do next; knelt
down and took the ring out. She saw glitter in his eyes what she used to adore
in the sky, and he felt the thunder in her heart beats and tiny rain drops
flowing from the corner of her eyes.
And cut. Everyone was clapping and hooting.
The director said,
“This is the perfect ending to the film, it is going to be a hit. The writer did
his job pretty well.”
Whereas the writer was in hurry to leave, it was cloudy and
might rain. He needed to buy the ring. Obviously, the plot he wrote for his
girl has to come alive today.
You perfectly have mastered the art of sharing your thoughts in disguise, a superb blend of reality meeting imagination keep up the good work 👍✌️
